Back at
Pease!
Once a popular sight
during Open Houses at Pease AFB, N.H., the mini-FB made a
return appearance in August 2000.Thanks to Curt Lenz from
FB-111A.net who got the idea of displaying the mini-FB at
the Pease 2000 Airshow in collaboration with the owners of
the 'aircraft', the AFSA Chapter 155. After contacting Joe
Cloutier from AFSA for his approval to display the mini-FB
at the airshow, the next move was to contact the organizers
of the airhsow and the N.H.ANG recruiters for their support
to the project. The plan was to display the mini-FB to
promote FB-111A.net in the Seacoast area, the AFSA, and
support the New Hampshire ANG Recruiting Team at the
airshow. Based on what had been done in the past with the
mini-FB during Open Houses at Pease, it was decided to allow
kids to seat in the cockpit and have their pictures taken
for souvenir for a small fee. Benefits from the pictures
were divided among the AFSA, FB-111A.net and the airshow
organizers, the New Hampshire Brain Injury
Association.

Thanks to the effort
of Curt Lenz and Joe Cloutier, the display was a success.
Thanks also to the other members of FB-111A.net and the AFSA
who helped in the set-up and during the airshow. Listing
their names would be long and some are always forgotten!
Special thanks to Lt Col. Mark Sears and Maj. Rick Greenwood
from the New Hampshire ANG.
