FBs in museum and as 'Gate guards'

Built in 76 examples, the FB-111A left operational service and the Strategic Air Command in July 1991. While some FBs were converted to G's and eventually sold to the Royal Australian Air Force, a few are preserved and are a tribute to the men and women who served in SAC, helped maintained, and flew the aircraft as pilots and navigators during the "Cold War" years. 11 aircraft are preserved in the Continental US in Museums and some of them as gate guards on former SAC bases.
