69-6509 is preserved at Whiteman AFB, Mo., home of the 509th BW. "The Spirit of the Seacoast" was the Commander's aircraft at Pease AFB and the last one to leave the base when it flew to Cannon AFB for conversion to G. The "FB" was transferred to Whiteman AFB for preservation in 1992 and was put on display as a reminder of the 509th BW's historic past on September 28, 1993.
